Mrs. Rasha Hakki, a Syrian-Palestinian archaeologist, she went to complete her archaeological Studies at BYU University in the USA after her graduation from Damascus University. From 2004 to 2007, she contributed to a project to document the mosaics in Syrian museums in cooperation with the European Centre for Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Monuments in Thessaloniki, Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since 2008, she has been working with the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums as part of the Local Community Development team. Hakki helped establish many projects to support Syrian local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She later moved to the Museums Department at the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums, where she worked on documenting and tracking smuggled Syrian cultural artifacts. She also develops workshops for refugees and children to engage them in protecting cultural heritage, in cooperation with Oxford University and the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2015, Mrs. Hakki came to the Netherlands and started to rebuild her heritage network with other cultural organization, she became active to help refugees integrate into the community, and she is participating in many initiatives concerning the protection of cultural heritage and supporting local communities in Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
